New Mammography System approved for Marketing in Europe

Company News - Three Palm Software
Three Palm Software received the European CE Mark of approval for its mammo software products

Three Palm Software out of Los Gatos, California received the European CE Mark of approval for the company's two main mammography software products.

•    WorkstationOne™ is a diagnostic breast imaging workstation software. WorkstationOne obtains breast imaging screening or diagnosis exams from PACS or Modalities; displays and manipulates the images for radiologists to perform interpretation task.
•    CadOne™ is mammography CAD server which is offered to original equipment manufacturers (OEM) for integration into their product suites. CadOne is designed to be used in mammography screening, in particular, with digital data source (e.g., FFDM or CR for mammography). CadOne™ processes the images and generates a CAD report, and then pushes the report as DICOM SR via a DICOM storage service to one or more destinations.

Dr. Stergios Prapavesis, who has been leading the clinical beta testing for both WorkstationOne and CadOne in one of the most specialized radiology practice in Greece, said “WorkstationOne by Three Palm Software is remarkable, dedicated breast imaging software. It assists mammography interpretation by providing a set of flexible, powerful and unique tools that have been developed after consultation with expert mammo-radiologists. For example, the sequential side by side comparison using mirror masking in all views enhances perception of minute asymmetric lesions (a concept pioneered by Dr. Tabar), and the systematic all pixels technique examines the entire set of data at full resolution. These are achieved in a practical manner easily incorporated in a busy workflow. WorkstationOne has proved superior to any other viewing software we have tried and has become our tool of choice for mammography interpretation. We are also actively engaged in the development of the CadOne application and expect it will turn into an equally powerful and user friendly solution”.
