Toshiba’s Institute Of Advanced Imaging Offers New Mr And Ct Courses

Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc.’s Institute of Advanced Imaging in Irvine, Calif., now offers courses for the Vantage Titan™ 3T MR system.
To provide customers with advanced training for their imaging technology, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc.’s Institute of Advanced Imaging in Irvine, Calif., now offers courses for the Vantage Titan™ 3T MR system and advanced cardiac applications on the Aquilion™ ONE and Premium CT systems.
The Titan 3T MR four-day intensive course combines lectures with hands-on scanning, covering theory and advanced concepts of 3T MR. It also covers the essentials of clinical applications and system operations using the new M-Power interface. Technologists will learn about MR safety, the advantages of 3T MR, coil technology, pulse sequences, parallel imaging and specific absorption rate (SAR) management. Pilot classes for this course are scheduled to begin in December 2011.
The Advanced Cardiac CT training course, featuring the Aquilion ONE and Premium CT systems, provides technologists with a foundation of cardiac anatomy and physiology. Technologists will learn cardiac applications and operations such as ECG monitoring, coronary artery calcium scoring, CTA scanning, cardiac functional analysis and image processing. This course will be offered starting in January 2012.
