UltraRAD's new and enhanced applications at this year's RSNA
Q: What products, updates or innovations are you announcing or launching at RSNA?
UltraRAD Corporation will be highlighting a number of new and enhanced applications at this year's RSNA. One key solution is UltraGATEWAY 3.0 which is the most powerful DICOM router on the market today. Key features include; interoperability between disparate devices, unmatched speed through selectable compression, DICOM repair capability and quality control features. Today's healthcare environment demands that organizations ensure their modalities integrate with PACS and other established patient information systems. However, with the explosive growth of the healthcare image and information market today, it is nearly impossible to guarantee connectivity to all providers.UltraGATEWAY 3.0 provides a solution to any facility's challenge of interfacing, acquiring, managing and delivering key patient image and information so it is available where it is needed when it is needed.
Q: What are the benefits of using your product?
UltraRAD's full solution set of image and information solutions removes the facility's burden of integration to multiple providers by providing the bridge between their PACS, information systems and users. UltraRAD's QC/QA module is one example of our ability to facilitate customer workflow. The QC module allows the user to manually modify DICOM fields before sending to PACS. The Web QC module allows the user to split and merge studies, series by body part, echo time or delete images allowing the user to better manage their image information.
Q: What are you hoping to achieve from this year's RSNA?
UltraRAD is looking to expand our brand awareness across our full suite of medical information management solutions at this year's RSNA meeting. With the release of UltraGateway 3.0, our comprehensive offsite archiving and disaster recovery solutions, and a suite of viewing applications we are able to serve not only end user customers but modality, HIS/RIS, EMR and PACS/RIS providers as well.
Q: What key messages do you have for RSNA attendees?
UltraRAD doesn't make and market modality and full RIS/PACS solutions we make the solutions that make the modalities and RIS/PACS systems better and more efficient. UltraRAD offers the most powerful and application rich DICOM router on the market today. Combined with our 20 years of integration experience UltraRAD can assist any sized facility in making their medical information and image workflow more efficient.
Q: How do you see the year ahead in clinical and business terms?
The market for medical information and image management solutions is growing exponentially. Modalities are outputting more and more images per study. Electronic patient records are overtaking the paper based systems of the past. The requirement to better manage the increasing volume of digital medical information will drive the need for applications that facilitate its management. UltraRAD's solutions provide the necessary integration of disparate systems that is necessary in today's healthcare's environment.
