Ultrasonix Medical Corporation announced the implementation of the first integrated installation of SonixTOUCH / SonixHUB at University Medical Center

Ultrasonix Medical Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of  diagnostic ultrasound imaging systems and University Medical Center (UMC), Tucson, Arizona announced the successful implementation of the first integrated installation of SonixTOUCH with Ultrasonix’s unique SonixHUB data management solution for Emergency Medicine.

SonixTOUCH EMed is a compact, mobile diagnostic ultrasound system that features premium image quality, wireless networking, portable battery operated with over 90 minutes of battery life, 3 active transducer ports and easy to use touch-screen driven interface. The SonixHUB is a 1-step setup credentialing and QA tool that allows capture of exams and worksheets for review and evaluation. It is HIPAA-compliant and includes sophisticated features such as statistical and summary reports, email notifications and user permission levels. Exams can also be easily retrieved and printed for billing purposes.

Each exam performed on the SonixTOUCH EMed is workflow-driven via the single QSonix button so that the operator is naturally entering exam type, patient and operator information, then performs the exam and enters the findings in a worksheet right on the touch-screen. The results are then automatically sent and stored in SonixHUB for later review and evaluation. The entire process is paperless and ensures maximum compliance. Selected exams can also be retrieved at a later date and easily processed for billing.
