Complete Med Care Offers Ultrasound, Echocardiograms

Radiology News

ultrasound scanComplete Med Care, an urgent care facility and walk-in clinic located in North Dallas, celebrates its third year of operation. In an effort to meet the growing needs of its patients, Complete Med Care now offers on-site ultrasound and echocardiograms.

By using a new state-of-the-art echocardiogram & ultrasound machine, the Dallas area urgent care clinic now has the ability to create real-time images of the human heart. This technology allows for more extensive examinations and will help doctors address abnormal heart sounds, check the thickness and movement of the heart wall, look at heart valves, and deal with many other heart related issues.  Ultrasound allows doctors to visualize abdominal organs and determine if there are any abnormalities present within these vital structures.

According to Dr. Pugach, the Dallas urgent care clinic’s primary doctor, “We opened Complete Med Care three years ago with a goal to serve Dallas and Richardson residents who want a regular doctor but needed the convenience of an urgent care clinic that stays open late and has weekend hours. It has been a success – the office and the concept has been very popular with the patients. We have kept the average wait time under fifteen minutes, by utilizing open scheduling technique, which allows the patients to set up an appointment weeks ahead, the same day, or just walk-in without an appointment. This has greatly simplified patients' access to medical care.”

“As other urgent care facilities, Complete Med Care has lab and x-rays on site, but unlike other urgent care clinics, patients are seen by doctors only – no physician assistants or nurse practitioners. This makes the clinic very appealing to patients who want to be treated by physicians and are not comfortable seeing mid-level providers,” says Dr. Pugach. “As our urgent care clinic has been expanding, we have been adding additional on-site diagnostic capabilities. Recently, we have added an ultrasound machine, which allows us to perform diagnostic ultrasound and echocardiogram (heart test).”
