These days, ultrasound medical equipment comes in many shapes and sizes. However, even the most modern ultrasound equipment still comes with the same traditional parts. Typically, ultrasound equipment would include a console containing a computer and electronics, a display screen, and a transducer. The latter component is a small hand-held device that attaches to the console via a cord. The transducer scans the body and blood vessels by emitting high frequency sound waves into the body and then recording the returning echoes.
