Varian Medical Systems Exhibits X-Ray Image Detectors and X-Ray Tubes at the MEDICA

Varian Medical Systems will showcase PaxScan digital image detectors and its line of X-ray tubes at the MEDICA 2009
Varian Medical Systems , Inc. (NYSE: VAR), a premier supplier of X-ray tubes and flat panel digital image detectors, will exhibit its PaxScan digital image detectors and its line of X-ray tubes for fluoroscopy, angiography, cardiology and cone-beam CT imaging at the MEDICA 2009 International Trade Fair in Dusseldorf, Germany from November 18-21, 2009.
The Varian Medica booth will exhibit several filmless imaging panels and X-ray tubes including the:
- PaxScan 4336R, a 43cm x 36cm cassette size digital detector, that is the first NEMA size DR panel designed to replace standard film cassettes used in existing radiographic and multi-bucky applications. The panel is also available with a portable hand-held enclosure for use in mobile imaging systems.
- PaxScan 4343R, a 43cm x 43cm detector, which is Varian's largest panel suitable for large field of view radiographic image acquisition. It is designed for permanent mounting in radiographic tables or wall stands.
- MCS-6074 rotating anode X-ray tube for CT scanning, together with a line of replacement X-ray tubes that are available through Varian's Interay after-market sales group. The Interay group offers medical X-ray tubes "on demand" for the service and small OEM markets.

European Sales & Service Center
Varian Medical Systems has a dedicated, bonded facility at its service center in Willich, Germany where X-ray tubes are available in inventory for rapid shipment. This facility reloads, rebuilds and distributes medical X-ray tubes for immediate delivery throughout Europe. The center also evaluates and repairs tubes. Varian's X-ray Products Group is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
