Viztek installed its Opal-ORTHO PACS and U-Arm DR at Boyette Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in Greenville

Viztek , the digital imaging solution provider, has installed its Opal-ORTHO PACS and U-Arm DR at Boyette Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in Greenville, NC.

Anticipating that the recently opened facility would have a substantial x-ray volume, practice owner Dr. Deanna Boyette conducted an extensive search of DR system options appropriate for the practice. The search resulted in the purchase of the Viztek DR and PACS, in part because the company was a single source for an integrated turn-key digital system.

Boyette made the U-Arm decision based on the high image quality, ultra-fast access to images and the reputation of Viztek’s internal support team. The facility’s purchase included a weight-bearing stand for specialized orthopedic x-ray images and advanced PACS templating software for superior pre-operative planning.  Boyette’s new facility has experienced a steady increase in patients since recently opening its doors and is now seeing about 20 to 30 patients daily for x-ray exams.

Boyette explains, “The installation process of the DR hardware and the PACS software was fast and very smooth.  The application training was extremely helpful. Once the practice opened, our technology was live and easily able to handle the steady stream of patients. We look forward to continued growth with the Viztek products.”
