InSight to Distribute Ziosoft's Ziostation System

Company News - Ziosoft, Inc.

Ziosoft signed a distribution agreement with Insight to distribute Ziosoft 's leading 3D, 4D and 5D supercomputing functional visualization in Australian and New Zealand medical markets

Ziosoft , Inc., a leader in advanced visualization and functional analytics for the medical care market, announced the company has signed a distribution agreement with Insight Oceania, Pty Ltd. (InSight), a major distributor of medical technology in Australasia. InSight will distribute Ziosoft's Ziostation system, including the next generation PhyZiodynamic solutions for the functional visualization and analytics of 3D, 4D and 5D medical images, throughout Australia and New Zealand.

"We were amazed by the superb image quality, workflow efficiencies and economics of the Ziostation system," said Andrew McDonald, company director for Insight. "The next generation PhyZiodynamic solutions will take this cutting edge technology to an even higher level, providing the gateway to 5D functional analytics. We believe this could result in substantially improved diagnostic confidence with significant positive impact to patient care."

Ziosoft's supercomputing technology was originally applied to dynamic, instantaneous analysis of chaotic information in weather which has extremely similar data characteristics to the human body. Over the years, this technology evolved from a large room of host computer hardware to a centralized, CPU-based processing server allowing multiple concurrent users throughout the enterprise system. This has resulted in several significant advantages including non-compressed images producing the highest integrity and accurate image quality, optimized user efficiency and maximum cost effectiveness for an extensive range of clinical applications. It also enables indications-driven workflow and reimbursement.

The technology's supercomputing software architecture is economical and scalable, eliminating the need for costly, multiple proprietary or specialized GPU rendering boards. It integrates seamlessly with standard, off-the-shelf hardware and helps expand the life of existing expensive modalities such as CT and MR.

InSight is a recognized leader in the Australasian market providing medical imaging solutions and technical service to its large installed base of high technology medical imaging equipment. InSight has a highly skilled team of clinical and technical specialists together with extensive resources to ensure professional solutions for its customers in hospitals, universities and private clinics throughout the region.

"InSight is recognized for offering excellent solutions to its broad base of customers throughout Australasia," said Rob Royea, vice president of sales and marketing for Ziosoft. "The company shares our philosophy in providing outstanding customer service. Together, we look forward to bringing PhyZiodynamic solutions to patient care in the region which will yield appropriate, actionable outcomes."

PhyZiodynamic technology is compatible with any DICOM imaging modality including CT, MR, PET, Nuclear Medicine and Angiography. This allows advanced diagnostic applications for multiple medical specialties such as cardiology, radiology, neurology, orthopedics and oncology. Ziosoft has received regulatory clearance for several clinical applications, including CT brain perfusion, CT coronary analysis and calcium scoring, as well as both MR and CT cardiac function analysis.
