| Company News - Ziosoft, Inc. |
Ziosoft, Inc., a leader in supercomputing, advanced visualization and functional analytics for the medical care market, announced the appointment of Laurie Hallwyler as senior director of Corporate Communications.
"Ziosoft's breakthrough supercomputing technology is bringing highly accurate functional visualization to patient care," said Rob Royea, president and COO for Ziosoft. "We need to effectively communicate the numerous clinical, workflow and economical benefits provided by this revolutionary technology. Laurie's extensive experience in medical corporate communications will be an excellent catalyst in this effort."
Ziosoft's supercomputing technology is based on dynamic, instantaneous analysis of chaotic information in weather which has extremely similar data characteristics to the human body.
Over the years, this technology evolved from a large room of host computer hardware to a centralized, CPU-based processing server allowing multiple concurrent users per server throughout the enterprise system. This has resulted in several significant advantages including non-compressed 3D and 4D images producing the highest integrity and accurate image quality, optimized user efficiency and maximum cost effectiveness for an extensive range of clinical applications. It also enables indications-driven workflow and supports reimbursement as well as HIPAA requirements.
"This technology is truly cutting edge, offering state-of-the-art visualization and analytical solutions for increased diagnostic confidence," said Hallwyler. "It is very exciting to hear the enthusiastic feedback we are receiving from leading physicians around the world. I look forward to helping communicate the benefits of Ziosoft's supercomputing technology to additional healthcare professionals and patients alike."
Prior to Ziosoft, Hallwyler was Vice President of Corporate Communications for Eklin Medical Systems, a leading supplier of digital imaging and image management systems to the veterinary care market. She also held similar positions with R2 Technology (CAD), Zonare Medical Systems and Acuson. Hallwyler has an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BA from the University of Puget Sound.
Ziosoft's supercomputing software architecture is economical and scalable, eliminating the need for costly, multiple proprietary or specialized GPU rendering boards. It integrates seamlessly with standard, off-the-shelf hardware and helps expand the life of existing expensive modalities such as CT and MR.
