Ziosoft , Inc. a leader in advanced visualization and analysis software for medical imaging, announced the appointment of Joan Main, director of luminary development.

Ziosoft , Inc. announced that Joan Main has joined Ziosoft as director of luminary development, effective December 31, 2009. Main brings over 20 years of marketing experience with medical technology products to Ziosoft. Joan has worked in a similar capacity for multiple companies including Johnson and Johnson, Acuson and Siemens Medical Systems.

"We are very fortunate to have someone of Joan's caliber joining the Ziosoft team, said Rob Royea, Ziosoft's vice president of sales and marketing. "Through her credible associations with the world's top physicians, Joan has been able to repeatedly help launch new breakthrough technologies from conception, to the number one market share position. Joan has successfully established physician network programs to maximize promotion and market penetration of state-of-the-art technologies and products," Royea stated.

In addition to her marketing strengths, Main holds twelve patents, including one for the acquisition and display of 3D ultrasound imaging. She has four additional patents pending. Furthermore, Joan has authored over 20 scientific publications and five scientific abstracts. During her tenure at Acuson, she was the first to introduce color flow imaging to the United States market. Main was most recently employed at Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, where she had clinical and research responsibilities in the area of early detection of transplant rejection.
