digiChart announced a contract renewal with Northland Obstetrics and Gynecology

digiChart, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, announced a contract renewal with Northland Obstetrics and Gynecology, a seven physician practice in Liberty, Missouri.  Northland OB-GYN is one of many physician practices experiencing improved documentation, enhanced office efficiency, and increased accuracy in reimbursement that are choosing to continue or expand their relationship with digiChart for electronic medical record and/or practice management software in 2008.

“The digiChart electronic medical record has helped our practice in many ways,” said digiChart client Paul D. Wheeler, M.D., Northland Obstetrics and Gynecology. “The system makes documentation and updating of patient records timely and accessible for all providers in our practice and in the hospital Birthing Center.”

digiChart OB-GYN is a clinically superior OB-GYN-specific electronic medical record that enables consistent and accurate documentation of patient encounters which drives proper reimbursement for services provided and reduces risks to physicians and patients. digiChart includes an integrated, licensed American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) Antepartum Record within the electronic medical record and allows comprehensive documentation across the continuum of care for obstetrics patients.  A web-native product, digiChart OB –GYN is accessible from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, allowing physicians to remain in control of patient care whether at home, the hospital or abroad.  With its data driven design, data entry is consistent and streamlined and extensive reporting options are available to allow greater transparency into patient and financial outcomes.

“Access to patient records at all times and from any location allows greater versatility and ease of documentation and data retrieval,” continued Dr. Wheeler. “Diagnostic and procedural coding is streamlined due to integration with the encounter documentation process. The result is better patient care on multiple levels.”

“Northland OB-GYN is a group of progressive physicians embracing information technology to better facilitate workflow and documentation in their practice,” stated G.
