iPatientCare EHR Platform Passes Integration Tests within all its Target IHE Domains at the 2011 IHE North American Connectathon

Company News - iPatientCare

iPatientCareiPatientCare announced recently that their Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution and the underlying Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform passed Integrating Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) based interoperability tests within all target domains at the 12th Annual North American Connectathon.

Connectathon is the Healthcare IT (HIT) industry’s largest interoperability testing event. At this year’s meeting, over 100 vendors tested the interoperability of more than 150 HIT systems. iPatientCare’s HIE platform tested with 64 vendor systems/actors partners for 59 tests across 16 IHE profile-actor pairs.

iPatientCare passed key interoperability tests in these IHE domains – Patient Care Coordination; Quality, Research and Public Health; and IT Infrastructure. These profiles enable interoperability among care settings such as primary care physician offices, hospital outpatient clinics, patients’ homes, quality and research initiatives, and others. Interoperability among these profile domains is the key to achieving ARRA HITECH “meaningful use.”

iPatientCare is also demonstrating its IHE capabilities at the 2011 HIMSS Interoperability Showcase.

“Supporting the standards required in the IHE Technical Framework, the iPatientCare EHR has demonstrated its leadership as one of the most comprehensive IHE based ambulatory healthcare IT solution available. Passing these stringent tests reinforces our commitment to interoperability and further strengthens our HIE platform,” said Udayan Mandavia, CEO of iPatientCare.
