iPatientCare Releases New Remote Clinical and Financial Solution, iPatientCare Mobile

Company News - iPatientCare

iPatientCare - Medical Communication Systems, Inc. (MCS) announced the availability of its remote clinical and financial solution, iPatientCare Mobile. For use with iPhone, iPad and other tablet PC and SmartPhone platforms for point-of-care access 24x7, iPatientCare Mobile integrates functionality accessed on handheld devices directly with the iPatientCare Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management System (PMS) systems.

iPatientCare Mobile includes chart summary, e-prescribing and charge capture, enabling physicians to achieve clinical and financial information capture at the point of care. Its Mobile Charts functionality provides a complete summary of a patient's clinical record near the bedside, on leading mobile devices through wireless networking and on desktop and remote computers using any Web browser. This facilitates 24 x 7 rounding for clinicians, eliminating the need for “pre-rounding."

“I recently purchased an iPhone, and now I’m able to look at my appointments, review the charts summary and capture my charges while doing rounds in the hospital," remarked Vincent Maribao, M.D., an iPatientCare customer located in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. "Even while sitting in the cafeteria, I do not have to worry about missing any urgent requests. For example, iPatientCare Mobile alerts me for urgent refill requests, and I’m able to send out the refills using only a few taps."

iPatientCare Mobile's e-Prescribing (eRx) facilitates physician order entry along with rich, evidence-based clinical content and decision support alerts using content from First Data Bank, the most trusted name in providing evidence-based content for 30 years. The solution's medication administration helps ensure that the right patient gets the right medication at the right dosage at the right time and in the right form. Using iPatientCare Mobile's Charge Capture and E&M advisor, users can capture appropriate charge codes anywhere and anytime, resulting in increased revenues by avoiding filing limit write-offs, “no-authorization” write-offs for referral and admissions, denial processing overheads, slow reimbursements and back-office call center overheads.
