iSOFT Increases Focus on North America
| Company News - iSOFT |
BridgeForward Software changed its name to iSOFT Integration Systems, Inc. to better reflect the unit’s integration into iSOFT ’s worldwide organization.
Australian-based iSOFT Group Limited, one of the world’s largest health information technology companies, announced that U.S.-based BridgeForward Software, a leading provider of application integration technology acquired by iSOFT in August, 2009, has changed its name to iSOFT Integration Systems, Inc. to better reflect the unit’s integration into iSOFT’s worldwide organization.
“We are delighted to have an expertise-rich team in place as we expand our offering into the North America,” said Gary Cohen, executive chairman & CEO of iSOFT. “Having the iSOFT name represented in this country is a tangible way to show our deep commitment to providing customer satisfaction, technical innovation and patient safety to the healthcare organizations that now more than ever are moving toward full digitization and interconnectivity of patient records.”
“Changing our name to iSOFT Integration Systems allows us to present a more unified front to our client base who are already confident in our interoperability solutions,” explains John Moriarty, president of iSOFT Integration Systems. “And, it also further leverages the depth of experience and established reputation in healthcare IT that the iSOFT brand is known for in about 40 other countries.”
While they were still known as BridgeForward, iSOFT Integration Systems last year launched Viaduct, a graphical, interoperability platform that leverages the latest advancements in technology that dramatically reduces the time and cost of developing and maintaining application integration projects. Used for scalable application integration and data migration, Viaduct is licensed to healthcare providers as well as software suppliers who use Viaduct as an embedded interoperability layer for their offerings.
