iSOFT Group Limited announced an €820,000 contract with International Clinic
iSOFT Group Limited (ASX: ISF), Australia's largest listed health information technology company – announced an €820,000 contract with International Clinic for a hospital information system (HIS) at two private hospitals and four private healthcare centres in Peru’s Lima region, under a technology collaboration agreement to develop a group-wide electronic patient record.
This is iSOFT ’s first contract in Peru as it continues to expand its reach in Latin America. It now has customers in 40 countries, across five continents and the largest geographic footprint of any healthcare IT company.
Under the agreement, the HIS will be installed at the Lima and San Borja International Clinics, and the San Isidro, San Borja, El Polo, and Huaraz healthcare centres to provide an integrated clinical and patient management solution.
iSOFT ’s HIS will provide patient management functions for appointments, admissions, patient discharge, emergency, and diagnostics, and departmental management of pharmacy, radiology, and rehabilitation. Other functions include doctor’s activity plans, ordering of pathology and radiology tests, and invoicing. The central database will house a unique electronic record for every patient that is updated in real-time and available across the entire group to improve the quality of care, and in line with International Clinic’s objectives to become the first private hospital group in Peru to achieve this landmark.
One of the country’s major private hospital groups, International Clinic Group is part of Brescia Group, which itself is part of RIMAC, one of Peru’s largest insurance companies.
Antonio Alonso, iSOFT Commercial Director for Southern Europe and Latin America, said: “This deal is very important for iSOFT and it is part of the company’s expansion strategy in the Latinamerican market. International Clinic has put its trust in iSOFT and our solutions, giving us the opportunity of partnering to develop a healthcare information system model designed to meet the highly individual needs of the Peruvian market. Once again, we have demonstrated that our solutions can be adapted to the needs of different healthcare organizations and specific national requirements.”
Michel Macara, International Clinic Managing Director, says: “We are very satisfied with having signed with iSOFT this technology collaboration agreement that includes the HIS solution implementation in our healthcare services organization, that allow us to make a big step to guarantee efficiency and quality in our services, consolidating our defined business model.”
