Digirad Corporation provides medical diagnostic imaging systems and personnel and equipment leasing services to physicians' offices, hospitals and imaging centers for cardiac, vascular, and general imaging applications. They develop, manufacture and markets solid-state, digital gamma cameras  for nuclear cardiology and general nuclear medicine applications. Solid-state components last much longer than their thermionic counterparts because of their greater resistance to shock, vibration and mechanical wear. Digirad Corporation's product highlights include two lines of nuclear medicine cameras: the 2020tc Single-Head Imaging System for general planar nuclear medicine applications (SPECT – optional); and the Cardius XPO Dedicated Cardiac SPECT Imaging Systems in single, dual and triple head configurations. Digirad's wholly owned subsidiary, Digirad Imaging Solutions (DIS), offers a mobile imaging leasing and services program for physicians who wish to perform in-office nuclear cardiology and ultrasound procedures without purchasing the equipment.  Digirad Corporation acquired Ultrascan, Inc. in 2007 and currently operates as Digirad UltraScan Solutions providing mobile ultrasound services to more than 100 clients through a 32-unit mobile fleet as well as fixed-site nuclear imaging services at physician offices, clinics and hospitals primarily in Georgia.
