GOPiCE US enhances the three-dimensional ultrasound volumes by filtering the images to remove speckle, noise, and other artifacts while simultaneously sharpening diagnostically significant structures. The software easily integrates into modern software-based ultrasound systems. Volumes enhanced using GOPiCE offer clinicians the ability to see areas hardly seen before using ultrasound, such as the regions of the fetal brain often hidden by speckle and noise. Processing time is minimized by GOPiCE US, as it uses the graphics processing units (GPU) to increase the speed of image enhancement: up to 24 volumes per second at 128x128x128 pixels or up to 40 volumes in single planar reconstruction mode.
