A former faculty member of The University of Chicago and active DICOM and HL7 standards developer, Dr. Behlen was for ten years the founding co-chair of the DICOM/HL7 joint working groups (WG20/IIWG), and was a co-editor of the HL7 Clinical Document Architecture Release 2 (CDA). Dr. Behlen has led the Laitek team in pioneering advancements and best practices in standards-compliant rapid data migration and storage for healthcare facilities around the globe.

As a result the company is regarded as the leading vendor for the most demanding and complex migrations, working directly with hospitals and as a subcontractor for replacement PACS vendors.
