Meaningful Use Criteria: What should we expect for 2013?

Requirements for Meaningful Use in Stage 2 (beginning 2013), and beyond, will require the ability to exchange data between providers, facilities, HIEs, and RHIOS, to name just a few. Data exchange from a clinical perspective is all about communication and coordination of care for patients. It is not only a communication methodology, but also a “highway” of sorts for Health IT (e.g. interoperability).
