PLANMECA USA, Inc. was established in 1988 to meet the growing demand for PLANMECA products in the United States.  Planmeca Oy, the parent company of the Finnish Planmeca Group, was established in 1971. Planmeca Oy manufactures a full line of high technology dental equipment, including dental units, panoramic and intraoral X-rays, as well as leading digital imaging X-ray systems.  In 1988, PLANMECA installed the company's  first panoramic in the United States. Since then, the company installs products for dental offices, dental schools, X-ray labs, and government facilities throughout the U.S. PLANMECA’s family of products includes film-based and digital panoramic and pan/Ceph X-rays; intraoral X-rays; digital intraoral sensors; dental chairs and stools; dental delivery systems; dental lights; and Triangle operatory cabinetry.
