SARA delivers one common alerting system for Acute Care facilities. SARA is designed to meet the complex requirements found in a hospital or acute care environment. SARA provides a wireless sensor network, integration tools (to existing systems and devices) and broadcast communication in a single solution. SARA has the ability to integrate to multiple systems including nurse call, security, and fire panels. This seamless integration enables automated alert notification to the caregiver, nursing staff or support staff for corresponding alarm events originating from the legacy nurse call systems or other alarm producing systems. Real-time notification improves response times of caregivers.

Establishing a “talk-back” path or two-way communication further enables the caregiver to give patients a better level of care. Broadcasting emergency codes can be easily and more effectively accomplished by SARA. Within SARA, each of the monitored devices (pull cords, wall buttons etc.) that generates code alerts can be tagged. Then the corresponding alert devices that need to receive the code alerts can be assigned to an alert group. When a monitored device is activated, SARA understands the corresponding code information that needs to be transmitted to the respective alert group on the corresponding alert devices (cell phones, wireless handsets, pagers etc.). This method ensures the accurate delivery of information to the staff for better communication and faster response times.
