Private"DSS, Inc. is a 20 year old company based in Juno Beach, Florida. We have satellite offices in Atlanta, GA; Tampa, FL, Jupiter, FL, Salt Lake City, UT and Minneapolis, MN. We have grown from 6 employees in January 1998 to more than 275 employees as of October 2010.
DSS, Inc. is the premier supplier of integrated computer software to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). DSS, Inc. has worked closely with our VA partners, helping to modernize the VA's hospital information management system: Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA). We have been a pioneer with the VA during the past 15 years of its hospital system modernization program. DSS, Inc. has primarily focused on the computerization of dental, behavioral health and medical patient records.
In 2004, DSS determined that there was a need in health care outside of the VA for a VistA based solution and began the process of modifying and enhancing VistA to create vxVistA and meet the needs of non-VA health care delivery systems. In January 2010, we released vxVistA as free and open source software under the Eclipse Public License. The software can be downloaded from www.vxvista.org."
