2005Musculoskeletal Imaging Consultants (MSKIC) are seasoned, US trained, ABR certified, musculoskeletal radiologusts specializing in orthopedic and spine MRI examinations. Expert subspecialty MSK radiologists are available for online consultations using MSKIC screen sharing technology. Voice recognition technology and internet based interface allows physicians to see there reports and images wothin minutes of exam completion wherever there is internet access.
The principal, Doug Smith, M.D. devoted three years training in Orthopedic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic and four years training in radiology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. This taught him about the importance of a close individual working relationship between an orthopedic, spine or hand surgeon and his musculoskeletal radiologist. Although he is not a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, he has been the responsible surgeon and has performed or observed many orthopedic procedures.
