James P. Borgstede, MD, FACR, former chair of the ACR Board of Chancellors, was recently elected treasurer of the International Society of Radiology (ISR) at the ISR Annual Meeting June 5-8 in Marrakesh, Morocco.
Dr. Borgstede is the first American radiologist to serve as an ISR officer since former ACR president Joseph A. Marasco Jr, MD, FACR, served in officer positions as president, secretary treasurer and past president from 1989-2001.
Dr. Borgstede is vice chair of the Radiology Department at the University of Colorado. He served as ACR chair from 2004-2006 as well as president of the ACR, chair of the ACR Economics Commission, and in several other leadership roles within the College.
