Here are a few pointers on the best way to approach your application. In short: festina lente which means hurry slowly!
Don’t rush your application! Start by gathering your data together to ensure you have all documents to hand. Identify referees for your references and obtain their contact details.
Check your CV and make sure it is both accurate and up to date. Your timeline should be complete for the past few years. (see advice on CV preparation)
Ask a friend or colleague to read it through to make sure it reads well, does not contain grammatical or spelling errors or missing data.
Read it through yourself – this is the summary of your life.
Check it again a final time and then save as doc or pdf format if possible.
You can speed the process up if you have extra data to hand: for example, if you have a passport already, you can enter Number, expiry date etc.
Fill in your application form (application page)
During the Application phase we only want your CV details. You do not need to submit birth certificate, etc.
When we ask for them: dont send originals, but scan a copy so you can keep the originals in your hands. If they are in your home place, then ask a member of the family to copy them to digital file and email them to you.
